      no, it don´t have to:
      sin(x+a)
      only if a = n*pi , where n is a whole number

        @sgtgary
        from the article: "“Holding the ICM in the United States, after it started two illegal wars, represents a double standard, given that, practically immediately after Russia invaded Ukraine, the ICM in Russia was canceled,”

            @sgtgary

            I wonder if Terence Tao, probably the most prominent mathematician in the world, has said anything on this?

            He was awfully quiet about the US regime cutting funding due to so-called "antisemitism" on campuses.

            I did call him pout for complaining about the money, but ignoring the attacks on anti-genocide voices.

                          For a story about math, they neglected some important numbers.

                          How many people actually attend a math(s) conference? How many signers were actually planning to visit? How far in advance was the venue and date set?

                              @sgtgary Good! And it's not the only conference - some already moved. Here in France, scientists are warned by their collegues to travel to the USA. And we have several official travel warnings for people in EU countries, too (e.g. if you are trans, how they handle your privacy etc.)

                                @number6 I thought that too. 1500 methematicians are asking for it to be moved ou of the US, but those 1500 are not the attendees. Still, it's great that a many in the field are speaking up even if they are not attending.
