One thing I feel like we can improve on is advocating for financial support for masking. Quality masks are expensive and workers who most benefit from them, and whose vulnerability makes the rest of us more exposed by proxy, are often the people least compensated for their work.

One thing I feel like we can improve on is advocating for financial support for masking. Quality masks are expensive and workers who most benefit from them, and whose vulnerability makes the rest of us more exposed by proxy, are often the people least compensated for their work.
While I'm aware of charitable and mutual aid orga that make masks available, those can require more effort the increased friction matters. It's awful timing to say, but a kind of SNAP program for masks and other public health supplies could really improve participation.
Here in Ontario it would have been great for OHIP to cover masks obtained at pharmacies.
I'm grateful to all the service staff who still mask
