And our last question this week:

Q8. What did you see this week? Share a photo if you'd like. Cycling related or not is fine. Tell us about it!

(Also, it is Day 24 of #30DaysOfBiking)

@ascentale @bikenite #bikenite #bikeTooter A8, We had a previously unheard of April forest fire blow up on the south side of Red Lodge Monday afternoon. Fortunately a snowstorm rolled in Thursday night and put it out. I have a feeling that this is going to be a long smoky summer.

@bikenite A8. Not cycling related, but a monarch butterfly landed on my favorite rose bush today! (I will be posting more #30DaysOfBiking later)

Nothing really - did spot this completely unremarkable cleaning vehicle.

However, huge double take (for Londoners especially). It's a converted London Black cab and in all my life I think it's the first I have seen. They are normally driven into the ground until scrapping is the only option as they are very expensive pieces of kit.

I was in South Wales last week with my caving club. Let's ignore the trauma and bruising from the caving trip on the Saturday. I spent Sunday cycling along the Monmouthshire & Brecon canal. Lots of ducks, ducklings, canal boats, bluebells, and big hills. A lovely chilled day out.

@ascentale @bikenite A8: I went on my very first mountain bike ride yesterday! The borrowed bike with 29” tires felt huge, so it took me a few miles to feel comfortable—a challenging and exhilarating experience! I was surprised at how easy it was to climb hills, the gearing on these bikes is incredible. And the idea of not avoiding rocks and bumps in the path is a game changer.

              A8:

My (not really a) booth at our local earth&arbor day event.

I waffled over attending at all for too long.

My portable PVsolar charging system is taking 4x longer & 2x expensive, and thus isn't beyond the Proof of Concept phase.

had hoped to have it done, and therefore was embarrassed to even show up

Jamaican Food Kitchen took the place across, blasted tunes, served up awesome food & had fun, so I thankfully, was ignored.

              whew!

It's actually a separate van model by LEVC based on their hybrid taxi platform as they diversify their business, not a recycled taxi.

A8. I am trying to help keep a bike valet going here, so I held a sign-painting party in my backyard last weekend! It was really fun. Here's hoping we can keep the momentum going to get more folks to bike to events here.

@ascentale @bikenite #BikeNite A8 On my usual commute, was detoured by an amazing assembly of fire and police trucks, officer running the detour said "a small fire". On the detour, saw another Edgerunner parked on a side street, parked mine next to it and took their picture.

I last parked in the Poetry Lot in Lanesboro when I rode in the "Filthy 50" last October.
