    I honestly don't get how the upper class old money let Trump systematically destroy their money presses. These old rich families must know that their wealth depends on the stability of the political system and American hegemony.

    Are they all so greedy and stupid that they don't see the money trees getting uprooted?

    All these short term gains and quarter by quarter earnings reports have made them lose the plot.

      @chu I wonder about this too. The only thing I can think is that they also want power and status. In Trumps world they are the only people that matter? (Except obv Trump is the only person who thinks he matters)?? Dunno

        @chu somehow that same thing keeps happening again and again in the history of fascist regimes 🤡 the elites initially treat the leader as someone gullible they can exploit under controlled conditions in order to serve their own agenda, only for him to keep getting more access to the system and exploiting it to the point where they can't get rid of him

        on this subject, i recomend the tv show "m: son of the century" and also one of the lastest johnny harris' videos 🙂 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GV8KGcFqeLc)

          @chu
          Capturing the rich and powerful is the MO of trump-epstein. They figured out how to fleece everyone using the incredible power the yankee electorate gave them.

            @AlexanderVI @junklight

            Right... So why aren't they using their power, money, and influence to stop it is what I'm wondering.

              @chu @rberger I keep saying that folks should think of what happened with the Titan submersible and the long and short of it is that the owner of the submersible and his wealthy passengers were so insulated from the problems that plague regular people that they really believed they could buy their way out of physics.

              That’s what we’re dealing with and it’s really scary.
