      @futurebird
      I posted my first Yellowjacket yesterday! Haven't gotten any good photos of ants. Here's a mason bee.

        @dillyd @futurebird this picture came blurred with sensitive image warning! Crazy. Any idea why?

          @pelha @futurebird
          I do that with insect photos because some people find them a little creepy when they pop up on your timeline.
          (Including me sometimes: some bugs don't bother me at all, but with some bugs I need to prepare myself mentally.)

            It's getting to that time of year when I take more photos than I can reasonably post. Everything everywhere all at once. Here are my daffodils in the setting sun today.

                    Getting near the time I am outside more and spend less time on SM.
                    We have zero flowers yet.
                    I'm chomping at the bit for them

                      Every time I feel sad because it seems the rest of the world already has flowers and I don't yet, I remind myself that at least I'm not in the maritimes.
                      Just kidding though. It's cool that we get our seasons at different times, and get to see each other's.

                        We are two weeks behind the city.
                        NS runs SW to NE and we're in a different grow zone. Some of the earliest buds, on Haskaps, are just starting, and I think crabapple is getting close. But, when we were in the city the lilacs were dying and they were just beginning in the country.. It's the ocean, not the weatherman, that sets our temperature , It's 5 degrees warmer across the highway, and in Nova Scotia, no matter where you are, you are never more than 60kms from the ocean
