    I can do decreases in my sleep but as soon as a pattern calls for m1r or m1l, I have to look up how it's done again. The increase stitches just don't want to stay in my noggin.
    Someone tell me I'm not alone with this, please? #knitting

      @Geisterweiss if a pattern says to increase every other round I make yo’s in the first rnd and knit them twisted in the next. But yeah always confused which one will be the first and which one the last in a rnd

        @Geisterweiss

        Same here.

        Left leaning or right leaning decrease is something I can visualize, but with the my I'm never sure what property of the stitch the left or right refers to (and I have quite a left / right problem anyway)

          @Geisterweiss I used to have a problem remembering. Now I have a little reminder to help me.

          Make one RIGHT: pick up the yarn and put it on the needle WRONG (seated as if twisted, left leg in front), then knit it RIGHT (knit through the front of the loop).

          Make one LEFT: pick up the yarn and put it on the needle RIGHT (seated correctly, right leg in front) and then knit it WRONG (though the back of the loop).

            @Geisterweiss
            m1r is the left needle looping from the rear. right = rear. that is how I remember
