@edza One thing you don't expect is that as the things that need to be done trail off towards the end, less and less people can do them. So the house will sit empty for days until that ONE GUY who installs the Flippity Flap can get over there, and there's nothing else that can be done in the meantime.

We needed nearly 18 month for just a kitchen. But my father did it almost alone the livingroom took just 6 month -
