    @babyalligator @benroyce

    Why do we need to teach anyone anything when we have robots already?

        Melania Trump walks side by side with humanoid robot at White House summit

        The Figure 03 robot, which is not currently available for direct-to-consumer purchase, works through a vision-language-action AI model.

        @benroyce

        Maybe she's just auditioning her next husband.

        Seems like it has all the needed qualifications... easy to turn off, transplanted brain that doesn't do much beyond talk, can navigate down one corridor before walking in the opposite direction.

        Sounds perfect!

          @benroyce makes me want to drop kick that droid and yell: "THIS IS THE DROID WE'RE LOOKING FOR! "

          Then I'll break a chair across the robot's head that doesn't have hair.

            @benroyce NGL, I was holding my breath waiting for the robot to trip, start flailing, and take down Melania by hacking her at the knees. 😂

              @benroyce Sorry, have they never been in an American classroom?

              Talked to any real, live teachers?

              Wouldn't be five minutes before the students figure out how to sabotage it.

              Although I bet any robot art "teachers" would end up with some fantastic paint jobs.

                    @solitha ✅

                    they're going to spend more on repairs and security with robot teachers, rather than just fucking hiring human teachers

                      As a retired educator, it is an insane idea. But then Melania is robotic, too, and probably prefers their company. It has the smell of Peter Thiel all over it imo.

                        You’ll note that she stays pretty far away from the robot. This is a safety measure, because if the robot starts to fall, it may start flailing its arms around to regain its balance.

                        Robotics pioneer Rod Brooks has a number of things to say about humanoid robots:
