    @Cognessence @sean_ae @elifyalvac @Rushup_Dee Haha, you're welcome, no worries. I'm just loving trying to figure out this I-now-realise-beautiful melody! Dude, those two bars at 0:42, their crashing 4th beats. Gorrrgeous!

    @miblo @sean_ae @elifyalvac @Rushup_Dee I've realised the melody is "two wrongs make a right" on most tracks on the E.P, haha!

    I mean, making the first bits of the "conversation" consonant, and then doing odd turns on the third stroke.

    It's all about threes! 😄

      @c_reider @elifyalvac @Cognessence @oscillik @Rushup_Dee I’m actually enjoying this meshuggah one

      It’s not really the sounds I don’t like on that sim city it’s the way a lot of that stuff was made I think, weird velocities and whatnot

      Like there’s a sort of uncaring thing going on that I can’t get my head round

      had to find Bleed but it’s kinda disappointing. not bad but not in love w/ it, gets better as it goes tho.
      edit: i lied, im in love with the bridge where the drums drop out & it kicks back in w/ the brass solo, those sections are great

        @sean_ae @Cognessence @elifyalvac @oscillik @Rushup_Dee the gm stuff only really sounds interesting when augmented, like some artists do on orange milk for example. if i had to choose between different sound sources for pc i'd absolutely never take gm tho, especially if you had the option for adlib or yamaha fm (like on the x68000 for example with its base sound chip) or like gravis ultrasound-like wavetable instead.

          @tsrono @c_reider @elifyalvac @Cognessence @oscillik @Rushup_Dee nah this is good, I rate it

          The stabs coming in was ace
          But the loud melody after that is a bit loud

          I’m gonna fall asleep to this album now so if I wake up a changed man it’s your fault

                @sean_ae @Cognessence @elifyalvac @oscillik @Rushup_Dee gm sound and vaporwave is a bit of a chicken and the egg situation. do we associate these sounds to vaporwave because that's what was sampled, or was vaporwave an aesthetic trend that just didn't really have a name and was just codified.

                like, devil summoner soul hackers is to me an actual vaporwave artifact. i know it existed at the time but it's an incredible sum of all that the aesthetic represents, ost included: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hl6pv2f3ILU

                                    @Cognessence @sean_ae @elifyalvac @Rushup_Dee Ohhh right, yeah, I think I get the two wrongs bit now, maybe? I mean, just that B♭ figure – D-F-D-B♭-D – was crazily throwing me off, I kept hearing that first D as an E♭, which had been in the bass! Amazing stuff.

                                      @sean_ae @janne808 Just for the record, the PiStorm cannot emulate the 2 meg chip ram needed by Quad Track, so you need to find an original memory extension for the Agnus trapdoor..

                                      Best solution is a 1200 (with PiStorm or other) but that combo can be anything from 700£ to 1300£. Unless of course you go for a A4000 for ~£2500-3000 😆

                                          @qebo @sean_ae Yes, only the later A500 revisions can do 2MB Chip RAM to begin with. A600 can do it if you can find one for a reasonable price.
