@jfmezei LOL. I was checking the reviews on Google for a restaurant in Paris and one review said “Hat of the leader”. Puzzled, I clicked to reveal the original review in French. It was “Chapeau le chef”.

@Crystal_Fish_Caves @jfmezei more likely Anglophones who couldn't be bothered to hire a translator and thought they knew what they were doing. this happens with Ottawa municipal stuff all the time. our city is right next to Quebec, a whole province of French speaking people, and la Ville de Gatineau is just across the river, but hire someone to get French phrasing correct? nah, who would do that.
