@cmconseils I'd change "feed" with "fill"

@cmconseils We already have that in Italian, as it literally is "catch two pidgeons with a bean".
Now, the point is what you do afterwards, with those pidgeons: roast them?

This has been part of my team vocabulary for 5 years or more. It's always a joy to see new folks react and adapt.

@cmconseils you realize birds do get killed to provide people with their chicken, duck, turkey or whatever, right?
The saying has historical roots and should be left alone in my opinion. It's use will most certainly stop on its own when we stop kiling other species to feed ourselves.
Language manipulation in order to change the future or erase the past always make me uneasy and almost always backfire. Just my opinion, please don't shoot (or stone) me. -

@cmconseils birds aren't real.

@cmconseils There's certainly more than one way to skim an aphorism!

@cmconseils this assumes you're pronouncing scone "scone" rather than "scone".
Unless you're some kind of monster who's pronouncing stone "stone"..?!

@cmconseils if the birds could eat rocks it would be feed two birds with one stone

@grb090423@mastodon.social @cmconseils@mastodon.social wish I had time to feed some birds, but I've got bigger fish to feed right now
