Roe deer are the traditional main prey of the Eurasian lynx.
(I'm not sure where you are so you may have different species of deer and/or lynx.)

It's difficult to tell from the photo, but I did get the impression that the lynx is BIG. Maybe the deer are small.

i say this as somone in an area where they got rid of all apex predators and the deer population is out of control.

@karppinen That appears to be a bobcat possibly a lynx. In either case it is too small to take down a deer. It may clear out the housecats and small dogs in the area

It's a lynx and it can take down a deer. Deer is one of its favourite foods. -
