@ivory Love having the four gestures to assign! Excellent addition. Now the action buttons can happily sit in the drawer, but I can still one-touch reply, favourite, and boost posts from the timeline 🥳

Also very happy to see rich text added. My WriteFreely blog posts always looked a bit of a mess when syndicated to the Fediverse (and viewed in Ivory) but no more!

@ivory I just tried sending myself a rich text/markdown post from my alt account (on a gotosocial instance, which supports markdown) to this mastodon account, and it’s not rendering as expected. I also tried sending similar from mastodon to gotosocial with the same results.

Am I missing something?

@WiteWulf It's read-only support for now. We can only support what Mastodon officially supports and so composing is not a thing yet. When they support it, so will we.

@fd0 How long ago was this? No idea if it's any better, but it does work well with most ActivityPub services that align well with Mastodon. We've heard it works pretty well with GotoSocial, Misskey, and Pleroma. Officially, we only support Mastodon. It would be a daunting task to support others too.

I had no choice but to do that like five times because the app kept freezing. I’m lucky it even let me click on the comment icon. Even swiping to open the post froze it up.

I’m still having issues with pics and videos not always loading though. Even my own do it, so it’s not a server issue.

@fd0 Ah ok. well it wouldn't have improved in the past 2 months. We made big changes a year or 2 ago that greatly improved support for a lot of ActivityPub services that worked very similarly to Mastodon.
