- Reuters: The Iranian Revolutionary Guard is preventing ships from crossing the Strait of Hormuz, according to a broadcast from the Guard directed at ships receiving high-frequency broadcasts in the region.
- Gaza Center for Human Rights:
• The occupation authorities closed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem, and expelled the worshippers and workers from it, and closed its main gates, including the Qataneen Gate, the Iron Gate, the Al-Ghawanmeh Gate, and the King Faisal Gate, citing a state of emergency.
• They also closed the holy Ibrahim Mosque in Hebron until further notice, and prevented the Waqf employees from entering it, and turned its surroundings into a military barracks crowded with soldiers and checkpoints.
• These measures represent a direct violation of the freedom of worship guaranteed by international human rights law, particularly the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and constitute a serious breach of the obligations of the occupying power under the Fourth Geneva Convention, which obliges it to respect and protect religious sites and ensure the unhindered practice of religious rituals.
