Fourth: the sycamore- debate rages (or a few experts differ) on whether this can be counted as a native tree. The long pendulous flowers turn to familiar ‘keys’ or seeds with a flat surface to catch the wind in autumn and it self seeds prolifically.

I have been fostering trees in pots, and have seven oaks, three birch and two horse chestnut at the moment.
We have nowhere to plant them here, but I hope we'll be able to take them with us to wherever we end up - although I also hope we'll be buying somewhere with plenty of mature trees already.

We could start growing a map of Kent!I've been through Seven Oaks quite often.
As a kid, there used to be a 'Pick Your Own' farm in Kent, and we'd go there to do exactly that. -
