@kentparkstreet1 Let's face it, people: we can no longer be anonymous in this damn world.
@lockedintospace @kentparkstreet1 Funny how little folks appreciate the service of being shown what they’d rather pretend wasn’t true.

@Johns_priv @kentparkstreet1
So journalism should only be about extremely dangerous things?a reporter reported corruption in the city of Ashkelon and that led to a criminal investigation. All the money involved there was not even the cost of a nice Banksy painting. And noone was killed. So no journalist should really be looking into it, right?
@tzafrir @kentparkstreet1 When did I ever say that?? I just said that I see the logic on finding out who Banksy is, I never said that the press should do this or that.

@kentparkstreet1
Those journalists were wrong, Kent.
I am Banksy.
And I am also Spartacus.I’ve always suspected.
-
@kentparkstreet1 British art and fans have always politely not looked too closely into Banksy identity, not because it was especially hard to find, but because it was part of the art and was the wish of the artist. This isn't journalism its just like telling a 6 year old there is no santa. Fuck these tabloid hacks.
@hashbangperl @kentparkstreet1
> its just like telling a 6 year old there is no santa
EXACTLY my reaction

@kentparkstreet1
Thank YOU for your support, Kent! -
The journalists who spent time and energy learning Banksy’s identity, then published the details, suck.
They suck.
They could have spent that time and energy exposing corrupt billionaires and politicians.
They could have minded their business and let us continue to enjoy the fun of not knowing.
Those journalists are conscience free, romance free.
They suck.
@kentparkstreet1 *You* clicked on whichever article and read to find out who they think it is.
*I* choose to believe there's still a group of marauding artists acting from the shadows as a mostly feckless yet entertaining prod to the public conscience.

@kentparkstreet1 You mean Simon Gardner, James Pearson and Blake Morrison of #Reuters? (source: https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/global-art-banksy/)
If I'd written that verbose nothing-burger and presented it to the world as #journalism I'd be ashamed of myself. They should be, too. Very poor judgment by Reuters as well.
@tokyo_0 @kentparkstreet1 I used to think of #reuters as a trustworthy news source. Now ... They're in the same bucket at Fox News and the Daily Mail. All that effort to remove a small piece of joy from the world, and dox an artist whose anonymity was a key part of his brand. What about the atrocities that need a light shone on? Too hard I guess.

@kentparkstreet1 they did it because banksy dared to criticize the UK government designating the pro-Palestinian group Palestine Action as a terrorist organization. This is crystal clear, alas.

@kentparkstreet1 We've known he was Banksy (to the extent that Banksy is one person and not a crew) since at least 2003.

@kentparkstreet1 Banksy or his given name: don't know him personally.
