    Isn’t it time that organisations which are not trying to monetise their videos posted them somewhere other than YouTube? The “Sign in to confirm that you're not a bot” message (translation “let us poke some ads at you”) gets right up my nose!

      @KimSJ Was thinking about this a couple of hours ago. PeerTube is right there. Anyone could set up an instance on the same infrastructure they use for their main web presence. They wouldn't even need to federate with anyone else - they could just have their videos stream directly.

          @KimSJ Yeah I was looking at the guide they have on the website earlier. It's there, but it goes from a paragraph to full on command line instructions very quickly.

              There are good options for individuals, but creators trying to monetize their work face difficulties.

              We need a marketplace for creators without surveillance advertising, etc.
