    headed to the #Philippines next week; looks like I have two options for local QR code payments:

    • an app called gCash which says it's gonna want my Social Security Number
    • an app called Fizen, which is a crypto wallet (it may also want my SSN eventually but it doesn't say that it does up front)

    anybody got any opinions or experiences with one or the other that they'd care to share? do I even really need to worry about this or can I tap and chip my way around for the most part?
