Going to the post office again tomorrow afternoon as DHL is once again unwilling to deliver a parcel. This time: an envelope with 500 small stickers. That is simply too heavy to move around, I guess. And I agree. Health of the driver always comes first.

@jwildeboer dhl is the worst.
@jlin I'd say Hermes is the worst. Then DPD. Then DHL.

But I now know the pattern. In the morning status is "on delivery vehicle" and with live updates. Then around 11:00 the live updates become "unavailable" and at around 15:00 the status switches to "Please pick up at post office, earliest tomorrow at 14:30".

Any vendor that uses DHL for shipping quickly gets added to the list of who to avoid. DHL is a guaranteed delivery failure.

@jwildeboer I could now rant over why this happens and that the chaos has reasons but I guess that’s not quite the point here

@lino I am sure there are good reasons why DHL decides to force me to spend my lunch break on standing in a queue every 3rd delivery
Last week they moved the delivery date for a parcel 3(!) times and ended up on the one day I had to be in the office, so, yep. Another trip to the post office. -

@jwildeboer @jlin GLS is also worse than DHL and DPD here. Actually, DHL is still the best which does not at all mean that they are good.
