    @Enalys Does vibe coding deserve a mention in this meme?

    This meme preceded vibe coding. Vibe coded road would be even worst.

      @Enalys
      Unfortunately, this is also true for Python. For instance, I recently updated a Debian 11 server to 12 and fucked all Python environments and all Django webapps, as fully expected. One of the most resilient interpreted languages is simply Perl.

          @Enalys The usual approach is using a containerized approach, BUT that changes exactly nothing, because even containers need upgrades, and at a certain point in time, you are fucked in any case. After 30 years, I have become quite choosy about computing choices based on the expected life cycle... Today, I tend to deprecate the use of frameworks and warn 'ex ante' about languages that are expected to fail by design.

                                    @elithebearded @Enalys Some languages are more prone to breakage on upgrade than others, and lately, the FAFO attitude has become popular.
