    I used Proton for a couple months before I switched to Tuta. Is Proton's mail not encrypted?

      @retrimental @helloclippy @Tutanota Yes, it is encrypted. There is an *optional* writing assistant that you can enable (disabled by default) and that only runs while composing emails (and optionally on your device rather than on their servers).

      A far cry from what Microsoft is doing. I'm not a fan of the AI hype, but Proton is being responsible about it.

            No AI in email! ✅

            That's what we at Tuta stand for - and #Microsoft has just proven why it was a good decision.

            @Tutanota don't worry while copilot is trying its best to crash the AI gravy plane, everyone will rally around the hero they deserve to save themselves - Captain Gemini.

              @Tutanota Two weeks ago, the emails I sent from Tuta to Outlook were suddenly returned as undelivered. Now, they are being accepted again. What changed at Microsoft?

                @Tutanota at the end of the day it all boils down to trust. You have to trust someone with your data but it’s getting more difficult to know who to trust.

                  @jg At Tuta everything is encrypted, so no need to trust.

                        @Tutanota
                        I wonder about these companies, I mean even Valve is (or was, not checked in a year,.set up a remailer to bypass the Steamy derp) refusing both Tuta and Mailfence email addresses as "disposable" accounts. A lot of other places give me a million bot checks I never had before dropping Google and Microslop.

                          @Tutanota Something else Tuta doesn't have - push notifications on Android.
                          Any plans on fixing that?

                            @OpaqueClarity We do, but you need to turn off battery optimization, otherwise Google kills our notification service.

                              @Tutanota The app is set Unrestricted and Allow background usage. I'm on GrapheneOS.
                              I did a search about this issue and found other people who are having this problem for the last couple of months.
