I know this is common knowledge, particularly for blind users, but I’m obsessed with ElevenLabs. The human-sounding voices are incredible; they've made listening to ebooks an amazing experience. Now I barely need other apps for ebooks, #Audiobooks are still my main choice, but when an audiobook is not available, or if I don't like the narrator's voice, then I always use Eleven Reader as an option. @LadyMaverick It's so nice to see someone speak positively of positive outcomes from AI. Here on Mastodon, it seems so many people are categorically against.

@michaelharley The AI has both sides, the good one and the bad one, depends on what people are using it for, I will always say yes, for it, especially when it helps people with disabilities etc. so in this case, AI helps me as a blind person, it helps me to read more in more comfortable way. I will never say AI is perfect and it should replace everything, no, I will never say that. But it’s definitely fascinating.

@LadyMaverick Yeah, the realism makes a huge difference. I'm curious if you've tried any other TTS voices that come close, or if ElevenLabs is still way ahead for you.
