Drone strike on Kurdish opposition bases in Iraq
Unmanned aerial vehicles struck positions of Iranian-Kurdish opposition forces near the city of Koya in Iraq's Kurdistan Region. In response to the aerial threat, coalition forces scrambled fighter jets from Erbil airbase. During the interception operation, one of the drones was successfully neutralized. However, another drone reached its target, impacting the opposition bases' area. The incident occurred amid heightened tensions in the region.
