Motorola announces a partnership with GrapheneOS Foundation, marking a new chapter in smartphone security
    Good News. I'm in.

As is well known, Google wants to ban the (EDITED: APK sideloading) of “third-party” apps on Android. Since Android does not belong to Google, this is yet another imperial asshole move, but it strengthens truly free Androids such as Graphene OS. I have been using Graphene OS for a long time and it is just what a smartphone should be, namely my own.
It's now very easy to install Graphene OS on a standard Pixel phone, but that puts most people off. Maybe it will soon be available as a normal phone from Motorola. As I know the Graphene OS community, they don't like to compromise. I would buy it. Definitely!

@reverend this device will not be a standard certified Android device with Google Play Protect, meaning Google’s 2026 APK verification restrictions will not apply.
Full sideloading and user control will remain intact under GrapheneOS.
Again what did the guy not understood? it is not Android at all it is from the box a mobile with original OS Graphene.

@zer0unplanned You're right. I wanted to write it for a less technical audience. From now on, I'll let those who do it do the talking. I'm still happy, though.

@reverend There exist other models lok temu mobile linux phones or Pad's whatever since a long time, but one with Graphene OS not which is the best in my opinion of FOSS and privacy OS on a mobile, now with this you can sideload your banking app etc. Only catch is the price of such device as all other existent with another OS are not chap at all.
