it feels quite nice to be able to implement and deploy a service like git-pages to a level where it is almost "done". there is one outstanding feature (garbage collection implementation) and nothing planned. it just runs. i give it a tiny amount of money a month and don't have to think much about it

from past experience doing this, it'll likely exist in much the same form a decade from now
it's so easy to outlive american tech companies it's unreal
