What's everyone's favorite non-Lutris way of making Wine game shortcuts?

The Lutris author is specifically hiding AI code now: 'Anyway, I was suspecting that this "issue" might come up so I've removed the Claude co-authorship from the commits a few days ago. So good luck figuring out what's generated and what is not.' https://github.com/lutris/lutris/issues/6506#issuecomment-3976118573

@tjk i install games from gog with bog standard wine, leave the "add shortcut to menu" option enabled -- wine's desktop integration generates a .desktop file from that that shows up in the same graphical menu as any other program, often categorized as 'Game' already

steam games also have such integration

@zaire @tjk Literally dropping the "guns don't kill people" defense. It's not _meeee_ doing the bad things, it's AI companies, which I am funding.

@tjk "I'm not a fan of giving money to Anthropic" then fuckin' DON'T, mathieu, what the shit? it's not that hard an equation.

fuckin "It's not ai that stole , it's facebook!" yeah... which they used to train their AI. fucking "I didn't kill that guy, the GUN did it all by itself! I just happened to be holding it!" level bullshit-logic.

@tjk lutris has been garbage for a long while.
Bottles is way better at managing wine prefixes imo, but they exist as a general wine frontend, so no library features like lutris and they require flatpak

@Nine @tjk I feel like that's exactly the point mathieu is making. The gun is the tool, the assailant is Facebook.
Following the analogy, giving money to anthropic would then be equivalent of, idk, giving money to Northrop Grumman?

@tjk@oldbytes.space Doesn't that make the entire project uncopyrightable in the US?
