    @rachaelspooky yeah, a lot of my anger faded post T because I didnt feel I had to overcompensate anymore and I no longer held resentment for society forcing me into a role I never asked for. I've tried many different pharmaceutical and street drugs in an attempt to get ahold of my emotions and just generally feel better, I did this for 15 years. Testosterone has been the only thing that's actually worked.

        @rachaelspooky

        Reinforcing your comment: It's not immediately obvious because they're normally reported in different units, but if you convert the reference ranges to the same scale, you discover that cis women still usually have more T in their bloodstreams than E.

        If T were the rage hormone, women would be as prone to rage issues as men

          @rachaelspooky@cyberpunk.lol Is there a citation? I wouldn't mind reading this and having it available to cite.

              @rachaelspooky@cyberpunk.lol Sure enough. Which also is nice solid evidence that if cis men have an anger problem, it's not the testosterone. Which is more or less what we expected, but it's nice to have figures to back it up.

              Thank you for the link.

              I wonder if there'll be much opportunity for replication and rebuttal. One study does not solid science make. I'd be surprised if the end result of that process didn't bear out more or less the same, but I like replication.

                @rachaelspooky my emotional state is better after transitioning, and I'm less aggressive than I was before because of that

                  @rachaelspooky I don't have the same level of suppressed emotions. And when they do come out, it's more sadness and anxiety than actual anger.

                  Trans men report the same thing

                    @rachaelspooky all my trans masc friends chilled out hard once on T, it's funny

                    it's like you can be more calmly yourself with the right hormones, regardless of which ones those are

                    but most trans women do not know several trans men

                      @helle @rachaelspooky whereas I'm surrounded by trans men IRL, and my exposure to trans women is almost exclusively online 🤷‍♀️

                        @rachaelspooky @ezra Well, I certainly want to burn down the patriarchy way more...

                        The difference on E for me is that even when you are the same level of assertive, it's PERCEIVED as aggressive because I don't give a shit about being woman passive couch everything in softer tone etc. If an idea is stupid, I'm going to call it stupid.
