I'm still in it despite the message in the chat saying I've left

need to force-refresh the web browser window, finally both changes have taken

yeeeaaaahhhhh anyone trying to move their discord servers to Matrix on the assumption that it's in any way user-friendly is in for a harsh wake up call

@YKantRachelRead@social.treehouse.systems I really wish matrix could be a replacement for Discord, as it's a helluva lot more security aware. But it's just too buggy and cumbersome at the moment for the average user.
