AOC very much putting herself forward as the natural leader of the Democratic party at the Munich Security Conference. She's offering a vision of progressive internationalism that's probably one of the more credible paths forward for the US post-Trump, where the US is a partner rather than a hegemon and seeks to be part of international relations in a way that means the US can actually be subject to international pressure and rules. It's definitely also a smart move in the sense that right-wing Dems consistently campaign on being the responsible stewards of international order and they like to paint center-left Dems as hopelessly naive to foreign affairs.

@PallasRiot AOC has been doing practice threading that needle since she won the primary, so that might actually work.
