I was able to clear a Windows 10 user password using the 'chntpw' program from a live boot of Linux Mint Debian Edition.

I installed the program using apt, as it was not on the live boot, but it is in the repositories.

I used to use this program from the Trinity Rescue CD. Cool to know that it is just available from within Debian.
