@geerlingguy I always wondered about science fiction that depicted primitive environments that had advanced technology. Watching the enshittification of our technology ecosystems, it becomes a bit more evident of how that might happen.

I am convinced that no company ever believes they had customers prior to the next feature release, nor do they understand that those customers didn't sit in on the ten internal presentations about the new feature, how to use it, and why it's a good idea.
Surprise is the enemy.

@bradthornborrow @geerlingguy wow, that was really helpful to learn about the subject. As I read it, words of Warren Buffet ring through my ear where he relies on the person he has entrusted a business to, e.g. Mutual Savings & Loan, rather than the metrics.
The old fashion way of doing business.

@agturcz @geerlingguy Like when they stop providing those delicious small bottles of grapefruit juice in the kitchens at Oracle when I worked there. That made me sad and slowed down my creativity.
