    @lkanies It was better than I expected. The loose dirt and rocks make it difficult but I took it real slow on the way down.

      I spent the morning mostly on BLM land climbing mountains. Time to head up the rock. Not gonna lie, the trail looks intimidating from below.

        @andrewbriscoe I’m a hiker not a climber. I’m with you!

              @andrewbriscoe the strike & dip of that rock looks to be an added risk for climbing 🫣

                  @andrewbriscoe if it's a top belay, I have to stifle myself from yelling up , "You know there's a trail!"

                        I’m at the PCT trailhead at Santiam Pass and there is zero snow. I think I’m going to drive to a trailhead in the mountains on the northern side of the Jefferson Wilderness. A place I’ve never been to before. It’s lower elevation than here so should be fine. And the freezing temps in the morning should keep any ticks at bay. Still traumatized from that.

                          @andrewbriscoe I've climbed there with friends who were much more serious climbers than me. Still, the easy pitches I did were tons of fun.

                            Sounds like you’re having a great day! Yeah, your previous tick experience sounded horrible.
                            Better luck on that this time.

                              @andrewbriscoe My uncle used to conquer surfaces like this. I think it's called "rappelling"?
