    Yet again I convinced* a friend to try Linux. It's fun, stuff mostly works, but when it doesn't, it's extra frustrating due to the novelty factor.

    * I didn't try hard, just asked if it was an option.

      @nina_kali_nina It's funny, though, once you have tried a few distros, setting up new ones and noticing the little things that are different almost feels like a game. "Oh, a little puzzle to solve". First-time users just want their sh*t to work, though, understandably 🙂

        @nina_kali_nina it's always the obvious little things that don't work too, particularly frustrating.

        Like with a friend of mine with Steam and an NTFS external drive (don't quite remember what was an issue) which is such a non-problem on Windows, or how for some reason it looks like you can just install a new font by opening it and clicking "Install"... until you try using the font on Libreoffice and it doesn't show up because it was installed as a snap (and I'm not used to those because I'm on a different distro personally...).
