@futurebird years ago, I woke up in the middle of the night to find the bed full of a bunch of weird little sticky dark things. I kinda freaked out, and the ruckus woke my wife up and we turned on the lights to investigate.
Our cat had apparently found in the pantry a plastic pouch roughly identical to the one her treats came in, and dragged it to our bedroom and into bed, where she ripped it open to feast.
It was a bag of raisins. She was no happier about this than we were.

@futurebird This reminds me of the story about scientists who were studying octopus behavior and found that the supply of octopus treats was mysteriously diminishing. They put up a surveillance camera and found that the octopus was climbing out of its tank at night and raiding the treats. The octopus also pled not guilty.

Before buying in pots, all my mayonnaise tubes had holes.
The last tube they punctured contained harissa paste. This was, they concluded, worse than taking that bite out of the cactus. -
