@Shrigglepuss my point here was that the government can ban trans people from single-sex spaces, but has nothing to say about the thousands of nonbinary and intersex folx who use them every single day whether they identify as trans or not, because they don't recognise we exist

@syhr @Shrigglepuss I was just looking this up in NZ, the 2023 census reported about 15k intersex people. I used this in my submission about the terrible NZ bill.

@foone @Shrigglepuss @syhr is not washing your hands after using the toilet really that common? do they not get taught basic personal hygiene at school?
it's disgusting. I only saw it happen once (but I don't often use public toilets and avoid gendered toilets in particular), years ago (I don't remember when exactly but I think I was still in primary school), and I vaguely remember shouting at the man who didn't wash his hands and telling him that he should do so (which he ignored) -
