On a lot of platforms that support it, I see emoji heart responses that are all sorts of different colors. Like...

🧡 Do the different colors... mean anything? Like, is there a code, a secretly agreed upon neuro-typical color code to the hearts that I should understand but don't? Or is it just personal preference from the heart-wielder?

@thevhswizard I am not aware of any codification re: colours of heart emojis.

@thevhswizard my personal answer: I do not ascribe meaning to the colors, with maybe the exception of red meaning romantic love.
Which means I usually default to not-red in most cases.
Oh, I also use and have see
used as a sympathetic “this sucks but I care” sort of thing. No idea how wide that is.
An autistic friend once shared her personal meanings for each color with me, but I forgot them pretty quickly. -

@thevhswizard I've gotten the sense sometimes that they might represent different kinds of love?
But I'm really not sure to be honest. I just use whatever ones I feel like at times, I hope that I'm not giving someone the wrong idea.
