misogynists who see women only as incubators hate VBACs : a vaginal birth after c-section is possible after waiting a few years to heal.

the way it was explained to me was that a c-section is an incision that cuts through layers of skin muscle, fat, until they reach the womb and the amiotic sac. we need to give our body time to heal all those cut layers, even if the next one is a c-section. more so for a VBAC.

    THING2 was a VBAC after a 3-year healing wait.

    VBACs are 100% planned parenthood.

@blogdiva Those who see women only as baby making machines don't care if you need time to heal.

@blogdiva My first grandchild was born via c-section and second one normal birth about 18 months later, no problems. My daughter was in the Army during those years and very fit.

@blogdiva Among other questions, I always ask prospective Ob-gyns how many VBACs they perform in an average year. It's amazing how many confidently say they refuse to do them.

@DrSaucy that’s why i went with a midwifery group that had ob/gyn associates for THING2. with THING1 it was a completely different dynamic being in a practice that was ob/gyns + midwives. both were owned and ran by women. so, controlling for gender, it was like night & day.
