@stux Although we have now reached the point that the axe isn't even convincing the trees he is one of them. At this point the axe just promises to hurt only other trees that they are told that they hate. They see the axe cutting them down, but all they understand is that they are told they hate specific other trees in the forest, so it's fine if they get hurt a little along the way for the sake of hurting the others they don't actually even know.
