    The weeks #Lego #FossilFriday is #Einiosaurus
Einiosaurus gets its name from the Blackfeet Indian 'eini' meaning buffalo, and sauros meaning lizard.
In the early 1980s a paleontologist had been prevented from working the Willow Creek "Egg mountain" site
He had asked the local Blackfeet Indian Tribal Council for access to their lands, but been denied for some time. Then in 1985 he was granted access after a member witnessed the minimal damage done excavating a mosasaurid at Four Horns Lake

This gave the council enough confidence in his abilities to do minimal damage to the land when looking for fossils.
On their land, in 1986, Bob Makela found Dino Ridge Quarry. It contained a large amount of ceratopsian material of varying ages.

After some study it was found they were of a new species, and to honor the land owners their word for Buffalo was used to name it, Einiosaurus.

In the off chance anyones wondering, the reason i dont name the paleontologist is because hes on the list and i wont be crediting him by name going forwards.
Anyone i know of on the list, will not be credited beyond "a paleontologist" or equivalent going forwards. All of their names deserve to be forgotten as punishment for their actions.
