They are the ones spreading and making up those expectations to cultivate good little workers that keep themself heathy and busy. Ofc most of the above is important propably but how in a world where we are kept hostage to sell of our labor for like 10-12h a day and the absolute majority value we create is taken from us to sell for profit.

@pteryx Yeah, there's only so much space! And after the job part really I wanted to focus more on things we're told we should do, and indeed we mostly want to do, to be happier, healthier, etc, rather than on the stuff that's simply more demands on our time.

Or at least an anti full-time work thing. Give us UBI. Give us more part-time jobs. Lose the expectation that everyone should have a job, even as jobs continue to inexorably disappear. Give people the free time they need to thrive, not be mere drones.
