@DanMorgan @caelarue nerds: 5/4 is the fifth of April
@labria @DanMorgan Not in the US, because (just like our refusal to adopt the metric system) we are weirdly stubborn about the strangest things.

star wars is about the least nerdy, most pop-cultury thing there is for the past 2 decades. -
@DanMorgan I heard the first four attempts to get this picture were scrapped, but they finally got it on...
Take Five.
-
@DanMorgan
Also, if we are naming famous tunes in 5/4, Mars from Gustav Holst's The Planets is a notable one. -
Damn. Gonna go put on my favorite Dave album to celebrate
-
@DanMorgan it’s funny because nobody’s ever called jazz fans ‘nerd’.

-
@DanMorgan Paul Desmond, soloist and composer in Take Five, ensemble led by Brubeck

@caelarue @labria @DanMorgan </know-it-all-mode on>
5/4 is always May 4. April 5 would be 5.4.
Punctuation matters! -
Sorry to say, but in most of the world, 5/4 is the 5th of April. Dave Brubeck by all means earned his day. It was just about a month ago

You can keep Star Wars though scnr
-
@DanMorgan Now I find myself humming the saxophone part...
-
Brubeck is a nerd. But ok.
-
@DanMorgan Fifth of April, yeah.
-
@DanMorgan Who is the bigger nerd? The music nerd or the star wars nerd?
@CaptMorgan @DanMorgan Calendar nerds diving in to say that the fifth of April was last month...
-
@DanMorgan ah, the fifth of April
-
-
