@trixter So cute! Our boys turned 10 months old yesterday and I was just looking at the pictures from their first week!

@Hasufin The whole bunch is going to a cat cafe we work with that's part of a book shop, so they're all going to be named after classic authors, though I haven't formally assigned them yet because I'm not 100% confident on sexing a couple. I *think* it's 4 boys and 1 girl but at this age sometimes there are surprises. But I'll probably make some decisions on that front this weekend.

I *may* have an all-male litter on my hands, though I’m a little unsure about one of them. Kittens are not super easy to sex under the best circumstances, and these babies are still at the age where they fuss if I try to get a look, and then their mama gets Concerned.

Just a box of fat, happy babies having a milk nap. Finally got their bedding changed out, and I may have to scrounge up a bigger box soon. I’ve borrowed a pop-up playpen for when they’re big enough to learn about the litter box but too small to have free access to the whole room. Hopefully their mama will be okay with that!

@trixter Stuff like this always makes me think of the time our (outdoor) cat had kittens, and my dad decided they'd be happier out in the sun for a bit, so he took them out of our shop building and set them nearby outside.
Well momcat did not care for that at all, and she brought each one of them (it was a pretty full litter) right back inside while giving my dad the deadliest stink eye the whoooole time.

Well momcat did not care for that at all, and she brought each one of them (it was a pretty full litter) right back inside while giving my dad the deadliest stink eye the whoooole time.
@triphazard I've been checking their weights every couple days to make sure everything's all right, and one night one of them fussed too much about being on the scale for Mama's liking and she came over and picked it up and carried it back to the others.

We’re hitting a pretty important developmental milestone as the kittens start lifting their heads, squirming around the nesting box, and showing increasing awareness of their surroundings! Everyone’s got their eyes open at least a little, though some more than others.
