the new character, Ange, that they've added to #P5X in today's v4.0 update is so busted apparently that the developers themselves said so in yesterday's live stream, and so broken that she makes all previous navigators that you have invested in (except maybe Futaba) completely obsolete. RIP Phoebe
they know exactly what they are doing
all future content will be balanced around her so you're probably fucked if you don't pull

also there's a new story character Phantom Thief which nobody will use because the story characters are all 4* units. kinda messed up that the actual characters the game is about are the worst units to use
I really like P5X but it's utterly compromised by gacha shit

No matter the good intentions or generous starting balance, this whole thing is basically “screw you, give me more money”.I hate it that some of the IPs that i love so dearly get thrown into the mix like this.

@COMPU73E Power creep in this game makes more sense than most, sadly, because people will still pull for the OG crew just to have the OG crew, but will also have to pull for new banners since the OGs are weak.
Is it absolute bullshit? Yes, and it sucks, but it makes sense. They get to profit from both sides.

@COMPU73E @outofprintarchive I know some folks love gacha games, but I find it really hard to get into the ones where you kind of need to pay to progress.
Even in things like Record Keeper I hit a hard wall. I’m sure the Persona Phantom X game would be much the same -

I know I would get really hooked if I did try, so best to stay far away from these predatory games.
If I want to waste a ton of money on games, I'd like to to it on lots and lots of different ones instead of just one or two endless pits.
