#GNOME 50 holds a lot of value to me particularly - its the first time I contributed to GNOME, particularly in #GNOMESettings #Calendar #Music and even a patch to #GTK, and helped start the rewrite of Cartridges. Heres to even more work in 51 🙂

@gnome Also the first release with some #Kernewek (#Cornish) language support. On the off chance that I'm not the only Kerneweger using GNOME, please do report (or contribute and fix yourself) any errors or suggestions

@astrofish @gnome Happy to hear you are interested! I would figure out generally what you want to contribute, whether its make a new app or contribute a feature/bug fix to an existing one. Then give https://welcome.gnome.org/en-GB/ a visit, its a good landing page to get all the information you need to get started.

Finally, have fun, and do pop into our matrix chats if you need more help!

                    Gnome 50: mach’s gut, X-Server!

Das Jubiläumsrelease des Linux-Desktops Gnome befreit sich endgültig von uraltem X-Server-Code, bietet sonst aber vor allem graduelle Verbesserungen.

Oh why Ubuntu took over Gnome... 😞

@rodolforg @gnome this change has nothing to do with Ubuntu or any other corporation - this was done entirely by the Foundations interns, like (@pwithnall and @ignapk if memory serves me correct) and is an optional setting for parents to enable how they feel comfortable. hope that clears that up 🙂

@gnome You have a typo in this sentence: "Thank you to Endless for funding this important work to make GNOME more accessible to young people and their 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐫𝐬!"
