Have you tried #GTD and failed?

Have you tried #GTD and failed? or even struggled? Do you "start again" every few months or once a year? Does it never seem to stick?
What's going on for you? I'd like to help. Reply or send me a message privately at https://tell.jbrains.ca.

@jbrains I went back to it from time to time, probably some form of exponential back-off!
The things that stuck were:
- Capture is all-important; get it out of your head as soon as it arrives there.
- 4 Ds for processing: Do it (<2 mins), Delegate it, Defer it, or Delete it
- A Project has a Goal; when it's done you can archive it
- A Theme is ongoing; recurring reminders work well
- 'Natural planning' is coolWhere I failed was _everything else_! In particular I never got Next Actions.

@jbrains oof yeah I have no next action list anymore, basically. That went away when I stopped working at University years ago and had things in the pipeline with deadlines and so on. With programming, it's more a 'pull' of what I need to work on today. That works for the creative output there, but since I'm not living and starting in the GTD system for these tasks, the stuff that's urgent falls off the bandwagon

@jbrains I find something closer to ZTD works best for me! GTD was just too much for me
