    Can anyone recommend a fairly simple, privacy-respecting to-do list for Android, preferably available through F-droid, and preferably not needing a subscription? I see several apps in the "Task" section of F-Droid, but I don't know which apps are the most stable and usable.

    I'm not trying to manage a house-building project: I just need to keep on top of everyday housekeeping tasks for a while.

    Thanks!

      I had chickenpox at the end of January, and it's done the kind of nerve damage that shingles does. I've been prescribed pregabalin for nerve pain, but it's given me a memory like a broken sieve. I keep forgetting to do things and, more alarmingly, I clearly remember doing things I haven't actually done. I just need help emptying the bins and hanging up the wet washing until I no longer need this medication.

        @CppGuy Nextcloud Deck mobile app has proven to be especially efficient, and allow for synchronization between multiple persons. You need a nextcloud account somewhere with Nextcloud Deck app activated though.

            @CppGuy
            There's a technology involving graphite & pressed sheets of tree pulp that might be worth looking into. It's a bit cumbersome, but way good on the privacy end of things. ๐Ÿ“ ๐Ÿ˜œ

            PS. Sorry to hear of your bout with chickenpox. Ouch!

              @CppGuy I'm using simpletask, very simple, does the job.
              There's a version that can synchronise the list (a text file) to your Nextcloud instance.
              It's on F-Droid

                @CppGuy "Omni Notes FOSS" provides List-oriented notes. You can easily tick/untick each item of your List.
                Available on F-droid.

                        I use Dynalist, free subscription for basic (and largely enough) functionality. It is not Foss, but managed by a small Texan company. Uses their servers to synchronize between mobile and desktop. It has a really great outline feature to open subtasks etc.. The UI is really handy.
                        I used to use Workflowy, but it was expensive for the same service.

                          @CppGuy I'm mis-using Nextcloud Deck for to-do lists, especially to share some of them between family members. Obviously needs a Nextcloud server somewhere, that might be to much effort for you if you don't have one already.

                                      Thanks for the recommendation. I've installed 1List and given it a spin. I'm not sure it quite does everything I need here, but I'm going to keep it installed as a general list-taker.
