AlgoRhythms last night was a lot of fun! I went into it knowing that I wanted to play something completely different than my usual 160bpm footwork inspired stuff.

I rather quickly put together a couple of VCV Rack/Cardinal patches, combined it with TidalCycles and created something a bit more mellow.

I got some good and constructive feedback. Folks who had seen me perform before noted that it was different but still liked it Still a lot I want to work on but for a first performance using this method I'm happy with where it's going.

It was really nice seeing so many enthusiastic people. Seems like a great community. So many times I was talking to people and realising that I knew them from instagram or mastodon. Finally got to put a face to the username in most cases.

There was even one person there (Peter I think his name was) who remembered me from a glitch art workshop I did in 2014!

Hoping I can go back again soon (I still might be moving to London this or next year)
