Random curiosity poll: What's the lock screen of your phone?
Watching an episode of Dimension20, they were mentioned, and now pondering them as a concept of personal identity. Mine is just pretty plant photo I took!
@sinituulia Mine is a photo I took of evening light on fenland reeds, so it's sort of "just something pretty" but also... it's the landscape I grew up in, and taking it was my hobby, and also home is reeds and mud and wide skies and evening light on the reeds, and it being home means it's all tangled up with family, so it's also sort of more than just something pretty.

@sinituulia I usually just have pretty pictures but at the moment I have my favorite photo of our ferret Noodle. I've yet to get a great photo of his brother Bean.

@sinituulia I wanted something custom and a color I liked, but abstract and not distracting when I'm trying to see things on top of it. I took a picture of a blanket and modified it until it wasn't too hard to read text over it. I wouldn't call it "pretty".

@Robotistry @sinituulia Very similar - I wanted something very mellow that text and icons wouldn't get lost on.

@sinituulia I think having partners on lock screen may invite questions i would not want to answer in a straight-normative work-world
whereas my cat is a safe and innocuous picture -
@sinituulia a phone background from a webcomic I enjoy (Cat's Cafe). Sadly it hasn't updated since last year, but it is very wholesome.
@Gulleko Oh, I loved that comic! It was the only one I managed to keep following. Adorable and wholesome.
