Whatever you do, do not drive into Seattle tomorrow.

I'm curious as to what the bus situation will be like though. So far the impression I have is that:
1) the buses and light rail will be packed for over 8 hours. People are going to start showing up at 6am to secure spots on the parade route.
2) any bus that crosses 4th will just pivot back to the return route?
3) cellphone service will be down for a while, so say goodbye to using any transit app. The buses will arrive Whenever and that's just how it's going to be.

lmao at this story from the district court the last time the Seahawks had a parade:
"It wasn't until we started hearing "tink tink" sounds against the window and look over to the side to see Marshawn Lynch on one of those parade duck boat things just tossing handful after handful of skittles into the crowd and against the window that the judge just slumped his shoulder and admitted defeat."

I refreshed and: King County Metro has their service change schedule up for tomorrow. Not in the most helpful form (a map would be nice!) but if you're familiar with the route you need, you can figure it out, eg: the 14 is going to be pivoting back on it's route at the Rainier/Jackson intersection, and will not be continuing into the International District.

Up a little early and checking the traffic cams: although I can't see inside the buses, commute-wise Jackson looks pretty clear with the 14 running at good speeds (relevant for the kids getting to school), and parade-wise the good spots at 4th & Washington are filling up early. Good luck to everyone in this city!!! Having the entire population + some extra descending on downtown is not an easy thing to manage!!!
