If our elected officials cared about the safety of people outside of cars, starting with our kids, we wouldn’t need crossing guards. Our streets would be safe regardless of human error.

But here we are. A crossing guard lost their life on duty. We should all be outraged. 1/3

Courage Belongs at City Hall—Not in the School Crosswalk

[2 minute read] city Priorities: No funding for school streets Every weekday morning at Ottawa schools, the same scene plays out: cars lined bumper‑to‑bumper around schools, drivers jockeying for position, and families trying to thread their way through the chaos on foot or bike. It’s stressful, unsafe, and entirely predictable. And it has consequences far…

There are a few things you can do:
        1. Email David Hill (David.Hill@ottawa.ca) councillor for Barrhaven. Tell him to push for safety measures citywide. Suggest away.
        2. Call Doug Ford (647-612-3673), ask him to bring back speed cameras.
        3. Join @visionzeroottawa.bsky.social @forourkidsog.bsky.social other like-minded organizations. 3/3

That would be great because i can never remember the formula to test if they are using the bridge.

I'd love to follow that account if only for the anguish as beige pants 2 does all he can to support the endangered car.
